Cherry Beach - Toronto


Cherry Beach is a beach located in Toronto Canada. It is located at the end of Cherry St, South of Unwin Ave. in the Docklands area.

It was originally named Clarke Beach Park after a Toronto alderman who created the park the 1930s. In 2003, the city changed it to Cherry Beach - the local common name. In 2004, Waterfront Toronto created new landscaping and the construction of a trail to Cherry Point. Restroom facilities improved parking lots were also added.

The location is Cherry Beach is at the tip of a former industrial port. Cherry Beach has still been a popular gathering place for years due to its secluded location. It has been popular for underground parties, raves and other gatherings.

The beach is clean enough for swimming and watersports.
