Cityplace is a series of condos located around Lakeshore Blvd. The overall plan calls for 20+ buildings. The developer is Concord, whose roots trace back to Hong Kong.

The first building in the complex was completed in 2003. The expected completion is for 2015, in which the buildings will house 15k people, with a 3 hectare park, 2 schools, 2 daycares and a community centre. The current site was formerly rail lands acquired by the developer in 1997. Most of the residents are in their 25-30s and there are a high proportion of renters.

Cityplace has been critized by some and described as an isolated, uninviting dorm. The buildings are somewhat disconnected from the city, surrounded by train tracks and the Gardiner Expressway. City councillor Adam Vaughan expressed concern that the complex would degenerate in to a St. James Town style slum.
