Greektown in Toronto is located at the eastern end of Bloor street on Danforth Avenue (where Bloor street crosses the Don Valley). It runs east to around Jones Ave. It is also known as "Greektown on the Danforth"

In the 1970s and 1980s the Danforth was considered to be the largest Greek community in North America. The business community has renamed the areas as "Greektown on the Danforth". Notice the street signs in the area are in both English and Greek. There are many greek restaurants and shops.

A Taste of the Danforth

Annually in August, Greektown holds a 2-day festival called A Taste of the Danforth. This festival began in 1994 and By 2008 over 1 million people attended.

The festival is a food festival, allowing reverllers to try out foods from many different cultures (Greek food is of course predominant). There are also games, children's rides, and interactive sports and lots of music.
