The historic Toronto Grace Health Centre is a 119-bed downtown hospital which specializes in palliative care. It is located at the corner of Church and Bloor Sts. Grace also long-term care for people of all ages who are dependent on ventilators and need intensive-care living services because of traumatic accidents or illnesses. There are approximately 270 staff members.

The Salvation Army has operated the facility since 1889.

On January 27, 2010 The Salvation Army expressed its desire to remove itself from running the hospital, as the charity has been getting out of the hospital business for the past decade.

"When we got into the health-care field, there was no universal health care and denominations played an enormous role in establishing hospitals," said Salvation Army Capt. John Murray.
